http://www.montanasports.com/2017/07/29/injuries-are-the-way-of-life-for-daredevils-at-the-evel-kinevel-days/ ‌Sam Rogers 29 years old from Bozeman, Montana was performing in a freestyle event at the annual Evel  Days in Butte, MT on July 28th.  Sam's snowmobile lost power at the take off ramp and ended up landing him short into the back side of the mobile landing getting his leg caught in between the snowmobile and the landing deck.  This caused a compound fracture of his Tibula and Fibula bones in his left leg, dislocating his right elbow and left shoulder dragging him to an immediate hault on top of the landing with critical injuries. Sam has been recovering from nearly losing his life a year prior due to a severe heart infection caused by a series of shoulder surgeries that went badly leading to a heart condition called myocarditis. Sam has been unable to recover from
prior medical expenses from the life flight to SLC and nearly two months in the hospital. Being injured, Sam will have a difficult time financially as he is unable to work while he recovers. The recovery is 28 weeks as long as no shoulder or elbow surgery is needed which will be determined once the left leg is stabilized and healing correctly and no infections are present.  Sam is at high risk of infection after his last medical situation.
