Saint Joseph's Turkey Drive

Since 1888, Saint Joseph’s Medical Center has served the city of Yonkers with its commitment to its community. As part of that pledge, the hospital’s Mission Committee runs an annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive to help families in need at the hospital, Family Health Center, and various clinics, to ensure they can celebrate the holiday too. Our annual goal is to help 100 families, but the list is constantly growing, and we could really use your help.

 As the hospital doesn’t have space to store the food, we are not currently seeking food donations. For those of you who can, we are asking for monetary donations that will be used to purchase meals for families. Every dollar raised will go towards these families in need, and any money left over will be put towards next year’s drive. Please know, the hospital nor its Mission Committee makes any money on this drive, and all funds go directly toward helping these families. We also work with local stores within the community who offer us special pricing to maximize the donations we received and the number of people we can help. It truly is a community effort.

The drive will be open until Monday, November 19th, so that we ensure enough time to buy and distribute the meals to the families before Thanksgiving on the 22nd. We ask you to consider donating to this worthy cause, and greatly appreciate anything that you can give. Many families would not have the opportunity to share in this blessed holiday if it weren’t for your generosity and support, so really and truly, THANK YOU!
