Sail Like a Girl Needs Food+Water!

Team Sail Like a Girl is an all women crew competing in this year's Race to Alaska (R2AK)  to promote women in boating. We have grit, a true passion for sailing/rowing and the determination it takes to excel in this grueling 750 mile, unsupported, un-motorized journey from Port Townsend, Washington to Ketchican Alaska.

As a part of our preparations we have identified a long list of gear, supplies that will propel us towards the finish line...We'll be taking freeze-dried/dehydrated meals, lightweight snacks, a camp stove to boil water/meals, a water filtration system and hot water bottles to keep us cozy.  We would love your help in keeping the team fueled and warm during this adventurous, round the clock race!   


What if we achieve our overall fundraising goals?  After we complete our journey, any funds we raise in excess of our boat/gear/race expenses will be donated to the Pink Boat Regatta in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) !
