Safety Vest for K9 Officers

Update: Okay guys....apparently Dex of the Belfast PD already has a vest. The community was kind enough to donate a vest to him previously. Unfortunately, we were given wrong information. But nonetheless, the full amount of the donations will be donated to K-9 Vests of Maine and will provide a vest to another deserving service police dog. We will be closing the page soon as we have raised more than enough to move forward in this. Thank you so much!!! We are so excited and thankful to have raised $1595 and adding the $500 donated by Greg and Kamrie....owners of Paws & Claws, that makes $2095!! Thank you all.

All of the ladies of Paws & Claws Pet Grooming, LLC noticed Handsome Frankie does not have a ballistics vest. So we would like to come together as a community and start a fund raiser for Frankie. Resulting in a donation to the Waldo County Sherriff's office that will give their K9 officer "Frankie" a life saving vest.
Detective Sergeant Reed has been working side by side with Frankie in Waldo County for 3 years as partners. Together they fight crime. Frankie is a 5 year old Belgian Malinois that is highly skilled and trained in tracking as well as drug searching. In todays society, that can be a very dangerous job for a K9 officer. We want to help keep Frankie safe by providing him with a Ballistic Vest. The vests cost an average of $900.00-$1000.00 per vest. This includes having the department and dogs names embroided on the vest, with removable velcro for undercover work (where they prefer to not show the K9,s name). The Ballistic Vest will be purchased through www.elitek9.com We have teamed up with an amazing non-profit organization called "Maine K9 Vests". The Robichaud Family started this organization and they raise funds to donate vests to K9 officers all over Maine. We are so impressed with their mission, that we decided to join in on the goal. KEEPING OUR K9 OFFICERS SAFE!!! We hope this helps thank them for the service they do to keep us safe.
We assure you that 100 % OF FUNDS RAISED WILL BE USED TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF "OFFICER FRANKIE'S" BALLISTIC VEST. ANY REMAINING FUNDS RAISED WILL GO TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF A VEST FOR ANOTHER K9 OFFICER IN MAINE. ALL MONEY RAISED IS USED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE K9S, WE DO NOT TAKE ANY COMPENSATION FOR THIS.
