Destiny's Fight against Bone Cancer

Destiny is a inspiring 12 year old girl currently comatose and in the fight for her life. She was diagnosed at age 9 with a rare form of osteosarcoma, bone cancer, that began in her knee. The heart breaking news turned Destiny's world upside down. She had to stop dancing competively and watched as her long beautiful hair fell out. Sweet Destiny has a presence about her, teaching the world that Kids Get Cancer too. After learning of her diagnosis Destiny had surgery to remove the cancer, she underwent aggressive rounds of chemo and radiation treatment. The aggressive treatments left her with only 50 percent of one functioning kidney, heart failure and chronic lung damage. She was forced to start dialysis treatmemt and has to be on oxygen 24/7. After being 6.5 weeks post chemo free, the cancer spread to her spine, head, pelvis, and shoulder.
The advancing cancer did little to her beautiful spirit. She is teaching the world with her contagious strong will and giving heart to never give up and always make a difference. No matter what Destiny endures she battles it with faith and strength that would inspire any grown adult. She is wise beyond her years and always demonstrates selflessness. What makes Destiny happiest is literally helping and giving to others. Whether she does that in a big or small way, she does it successfully.
It has been the professional medical opinion of doctors that there are no more options left in terms of conventional treatment. Chemo would take her life here on earth faster than the cancer would due to the chronic damage to her organs. A time frame has been put on Destiny's precious life by medical doctors. Destiny and her family feel that God has the final say and has a plan for Destiny. They pray daily for a miracle of healing and have chosen not to give up. Destiny is currently on high cost alternative treatments, not covered by insurance, to fight the cancer that has invaded her innocent body. Opinions of others including "medical Doctors" have been strong to Destiny's parents in their choice to treat with natural alternative treatments. One Doctor has even said that they are just setting themselves up for disappointment because alternative treatments do not work. Destiny's Mom has done extensive research and feel that whether they cure their daughter or just give her a better quality of life while she is here on earth it is all worth it. In previous scans the alternative treatments proved doctors wrong on the progression of the cancer and what they expected at that time. Destiny and her family were given so much more hope in how they were choosing to treat the cancer. Although Destiny was not cured, there was no new growth to the tumors in her body.
Destiny is a fighter and has a heart of pure strength and selflessness, her faith in God is truly inspiring. Despite her own battle with cancer she makes it a priority to bring smiles to other cancer patient's faces. She shares her faith and does makeovers on other cancer patients to show them what make-up did for her after the chemotherapy stripped away her hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. Destiny says often, "its not just about a pretty face. It's what make-up did for me in the inside. It gave me power over cancer". You will see that she often includes #makeupkickscancer attached to her postings on IG or FB. She has been invited to make-up shows where she has met many different make-up artists and cosmetic companies to spread awareness of Childhood Cancer and share her story that make-up is more then just a pretty face in hope's to bring awareness to the face of pediatric cancer and to give a different way on how people view make-up. Destinys #1 wish is to let the world know Kid's Get Cancer Too.
Destiny in her selfless spirit is using her voice for all kids with cancer. She has been able to be the reason in raising thousands of dollars to go directly to childhood cancer research. One of the amazing company's she did this with is RCMA Make-Up. Destiny will now be the face for all kids battling cancer on RCMA's Gold Powder. In the very near future, a percentage of the sales from this product will forever go directly to childhood cancer research for all kids forced to fight this horrific disease. All because this amazing little girl has chose to be a voice for all kids like herself. She has said to family that if God decides to take her to heaven she would like her wish to continue here on earth. It is the goal and desire of family and close friends to make that happen for Destiny. For now Destiny will continue doing that in her own inspiring ways.
This cancer has taken so much from this sweet child, including her childhood. Cancer is trying its best to take that away. Destiny despite all that she endures will always have a smile on her face. She frequently say's to others that smiling gives you strength from within so she encourages others to smile often.
Destinys parents have helped many other families. Her Mom is constantly sharing her knowledge of natural alternative treatments and puts together recipes as well as food baskets of organic healthy foods and alternatives that should be consumed in a cancer patients diet. She directs and gives resourceful information to help other oncology families fight this disease. Destinys Mom feels beyond blessed to get phone calls and messages learning that her knowledge in alternative treatments has and/or is helping other cancer patients in a huge positive way. Two patients to date have beat their cancer diagnosis after gaining knowledge and help from Destiny's Mom. She feels that God led her to gain all the knowledge and educate herself to great lengths with alternative treatments and always gives the glory to Him. Never does she take credit.
As a firm believer of God what seems impossible, is possible with God. We are uniting together now and reaching out for your support.
Destiny's parents will not ask for help. They feel that they have been blessed to receive help in the past from their amazing beautiful community. They want more to give back then receive. A few of us here with Team Destiny know they need help right now. The on-going medical bills never stop and none of Destiny's high cost alternative treatments are covered and they do all they can to make those treatments possible for Destiny. Right now Destiny's Mom, Dad and her little brother are by her bedside 24/7 . Destiny is currently comatose and in the fight for her life. All the family has asked for is constant prayer in abundance because they truly believe in the power of prayer. They refuse to own any negativity over their daughters life but instead trust in Gods plan. This is exactly how Destiny has battled her fight with cancer. The funds raised will be going directly to the on-going medical expenses and the high cost of alternative treatments and being able to get by financially as they currently are with Destiny 24/7 because she is comatose. Destiny's Mom is not currently working regularly due to Destiny's current condition and her Dad has been forced to take days off to be at his daughters bedside and has no more vacation/sick days.
Destiny gets great satisfaction helping others and seems to be what she strives to do and because we know this of Destiny we decided to set up this go-fund me account to help Destiny and her family. We know that they need help right now and it's the very least we can all do to help in some way.
