I am Nina Liburd a fourth year fashion design student, designing my debut collection for which I am seeking financial support.
Since the age of 5 I have been completely obsessed with fashion. At the time, I made a drawing where my Dad was holding my hand asking me what I want to be, and I replied Fashion Designer!
I was lucky enough to come across professionals in the field, this lead me to be able to find work and internships at various places.
Well, now I’m here. I’m doing my final year for a BA in Fashion Design at ArtEZ.
I’ve learned and am still learning a lot. Like the technical side of clothing, how to design clothes and especially how to look at the world in a unique and different way. My collections over the last years have personal influences from Africa and all over the world.
My internship at JW Anderson was a huge opportunity for me. I was in London, I was out of my comfort zone and the sky was the limit!
London and JW Anderson amplified the desire to cross bridges, to make exchanges to show ourselves to each other.
Fashion, I believe, can have a voice in allowing those connections to happen.
My debut collection will be inspiring, true and will be my introduction to the rest of the world. I am asking you, to join me in this collaboration.
I am convinced that you will see something worthy that you have contributed to. Something as true as the original idea: I want to be a fashion designer.
