After 70 days in the NICU, and multiple procedures Ryan passed away late Friday morning comfortably in his mother's arms with his dad by his side rubbing his head and holding his hand. Ryan had an infection that came on quick, that made us say goodbye to him in the fastest 24 hours of thier lives. In is final hours they had Ryan baptized and his father got to hold him during this time. Both Mom and Dad are so thankful to have been able to spend the last 70 days with their son who has forever changed the lives of everyone who knew him.
He knew his parents voice, touch and had the best personality.
It is truly amazing how someone so young and small can change everything we know about life.
His parents have been so strong through the entire rollercoaster of life in the NICU, and now not only do they have to bury their son but they also have to deal with the hospital bills and funeral costs. During this extremely difficult time, friends and family often want to help, but don't know how/what to do. This fund will help them deal with the financial burden and give them one less thing to worry about.
All funds raised will go directly to Andrea and Shawn to help with the medical and funeral expenses.
"Ryan baptized and his father got to hold him during this time. " Prayed this prayer that I'd like to share. God, bring comfort and peace to this family who has lost their precious child, Ryan. Forgive our insistence, our confusion, even our anger. We know – in our minds at least – that you seldom answer the “why?” God, I pray blessings over Ryan and his mother and father. I pray they are surrounded by the warm coat of your favor — their friends and their family. Blessings to Ryan. — Amen
My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time. My son was born at 25 weeks weighing 1.15oz. He lived for 40 hours and 7 minutes. He needed a blood transfusion and it went to his brain. He would have been 13 July 25th. Just remember, he will always be your angel watching over you. Take care!
