Ryan Georg (guitarist and vocals of metal band Saint Helen) was attacked after a show in Seattle. He was beaten with a bat and suffered serious injuries to his face and skull. He is in the hospital, will survive but recovery is going to take some time.

His breathing tube has been removed, and he is able to breath on his own and is now awake. He is trying to fully regain his motor skills but that will take some time as well.

Ryan was in 1/14th Calvary squadron. 2nd Infinity division of the United States Army. Deployed to Iraq for a one tour.  He served our country for a total of 4 years, and received an honorable discharge.

His fiance Cherry Cash (bassist of Saint Helen) has a 13 year old son, Bear and live in Olympia WA. Ryan is a loving and devoted step father.

His passion is heavy metal. He has loved sharing his light by living his dream playing in Saint Helen, which is his brain child. He wants to touch someone’s life through his music, like the bands who influenced him did while he was growing up.

We are asking for help, upcoming medical expenses, and family needs while Ryan recovers from this senseless, brutal attack by complete strangers!

Message from Ryan regarding his recent medical reports:
"The VA did an MRI on my back two weeks ago and the results were not good. They tell me they can’t fix it. All the alignment in the vertebrae in the bottom of my neck is still off and the arthritis is way worse. They say the vertebrae in my neck that’s digging into my spinal cord has gotten worse since all this shit. The degeneration of course, is way worse. The abnormality in my lumbar spine has now turned into degeneration and severe arthritis, and they can’t explain the lumps running all up and down my spine"

Hey guys,
Update on the Ryan Georg case.

As you all know, Ryan was attacked outside of a venue in Seattle by a group of young transient men, one of which beat Ryan repeatedly over the head and back with a bat. It was a miracle he survived the night. He has suffered irreversible damage to his neck and his spine, he is still having major issues with his speech and his mobility. he is suffering seizures and is in pain daily. It is a huge emotional and financial strain on both Ryan and all those who love him.

News came out today that 1 (yes, just 1) of the men are being charged with the attack that nearly killed Ryan. you would assume it would be assault with a deadly weapon, possibly attempted murder.. but no, authorities have decided that this is simply a second degree assault..

His name is Lonnie Sanderson. Not for certain, but he may have been the one swinging the baseball bat. Either way, he is involved enough that he is the one person being charged with any crime regarding this brutal, life-altering attack on Ryan.

Not really the Justice we were looking for. 2nd degree assault is a slap on the hand. However, if you know where this person is or how to find him, there is a warrant out for his arrest.. hopefully, they will put him in a cell with a metalhead who heard what he did then he will see some real Justice behind bars

In the meantime, please send Ryan some love, he needs it man, his last medical tests were not good, he's hurting mentally and physically, and please continue to share his GoFundMe.

Thanks. #JusticeForRyan

Update on Ryan by Cherry
"The last ten days have been so hard. I just pray for a day of relief for Ryan. I can’t help now but get upset about all this “Seattle is dying” talk, I get flashbacks of that moment, and I wonder what those 6 20yr old guys that changed our entire world are doing now. I know they aren’t in jail, I see a couple of their Fb pages, they are free out there in the streets after attempted murder while our case is waiting in the under review pile with the prosecutors ...I have to find a way to fuel these feelings into a positive light. The anger and resentment is starting to brew. I see him struggle every day after sleepless nights, he is digressing in progress and more symptoms are adding to the list, which means more pills, the depression of being bed ridden is killing him. I wish but nothing more to be able to fix it and take his pain away."
