Colin's Crusaders!

Donation protected
They thought they were in clear.  Well, if not in the clear, then at least out of the worst of it.  Then a doctor had to tell Colin and his parents that something didn't look right.  Colin said, "Give it to me straight, doc.", and she did.

The potential side effect of treating Colin's first cancer was developing a different cancer.  Potential became reality on April 9, 2015.  It breaks my heart to write that Colin now has an aggressive form of cancer called acute myeloid leukemia (AML).  This means back to living at CHOP, back to chemo making him so sick and in pain, and back to the constant state of worry for Melissa, Dave, and Will.  And to top it off, this time Colin will need a bone marrow transplant.  This fight may be much longer than the first.

Let's try to remove part of their distress by donating what we can to help alleviate the daily expenses of living one life at CHOP (for several months) and one life at home.  Commuting to CHOP, parking, meals, as well as being away from her beloved Toybrary, will soon weigh on their mind.

Colin has a steep hill to climb.  He has an amazing support system surrounding him, and the community has been amazing at organizing help (dog walkers, volunteers to cover Melissa's Toybrary, meal train), but this fight will be long.  There are many people in our community that have said they have friends and family far from Oreland that would like to help.  This GoFundMe page is for them.  Please share to all of them.

My thanks,
Laurel
