Thanks to all of your incredibly generous support!
We are planning to start building the Garden with planting White Birch Grove behind the amphitheater. The work will start as soon as the City of Cleveland will pass the legislature to make the land our design encompasses the "Proposed Russian Cultural Garden." " Russian Cultural Garden of Cleveland is going to be located on the selected land, 0.7 acres along Martin Luther King Boulevard in Cleveland.
In addition to monetary donations we are asking you to share the project with your friends, to reach out to business that are willing to support out project and to look for architects, landscapers, artists who can help to work on particular construction projects or donate sculptures or other pieces of architecture to the Garden.
We estimated that we need $7700 to complete this step.

Thanks to all our wonderful volunteers and supporters we are very close to our first goal of raising $10,200 for the Russian Cultural Garden. Thank you very, very much!
This money has already worked and keeps working: Master plan of our Garden created and got approved by the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and by the City of Cleveland; piece of land in Rockefeller Park designated to the "proposed Russian Cultural Garden" (as it's written in the City of Cleveland legislation); beautiful cultural events for children and grownups have been organized and more are coming; the inaugural Grand Piano concert in the Russian Garden was a great success that started a new tradition of the annual Grand piano concerts in the Cultural Garden s of Cleveland. On the top of this, over $6,500 saved for starting the Phase 1 in 2015!
Obviously, it is far from being enough to build the Garden, and we'll need more efforts from our volunteers and more donations from our generous friends and supporters. We all together built a good foundation for the future success.
So far, we are a little bit short short of our initial goal of $10,200. Please help us to reach this goal!
Whoever makes a donation of $25 or more from 12/10/14 till 12/31/14 will receive a copy of the book "Their paths are peace - The Story of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens" by Clara Lederer (reprint of the original 1954 book).
All together we hope to write a new chapter in the history of the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland.
The most common feedback from the participants is: We want to make it even bigger and better next year!
One World Festival in the Cultural Gardens grew to a two-days event this year. That was magnificent! Russian Cultural Garden's delegation took part in the parade of flags and One World Day celebration. Also, we had a very attractive children's program in the Garden.
Russian Cultural Garden will take part in the International Cleveland Community Day at the Art Museum on Sunday, October 12, 2014. We will let you know what time our dance groups will perform there.
These are all the great news. Thank you all for your support and for your generosity! We need to raise just $465 to reach our first goal of $10,200! This funds allow us to complete the design and approval stage of our project.
The ambition is to start Phase I in 2015, so we can dedicate our Garden in 2016, the year of Centennial celebration of the Cultural Gardens of Cleveland. For Phase I, there will be a new fundraising goal defined and shared with our supporters. Thank you gain! You are the best!
I think Russians from all over US should support this great project. One day you will visit Cleveland and will feel great to be one of the contributors. It is our history.. here...in US!
We are only $1,200 short of our goal. We are collecting money to start the 1st phase of construction of the Russian Cultural Garden of Cleveland.
Landmarks' Committee of the City of Cleveland approved our design! Legislative Committee will follow. Few more steps - and our site will be designated to the Russian Cultural Garden.
We would like to thank Dr.David Rollins and his wife Carol for their generous donation of a $100.
We reached our first goal. Thank you everyone who donated.
$465 remain to goal.
Great. $70 donated.
