Russell Family Fund

Donation protected
On January 5, 2018, the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority lost a colleague and dear friend, Gordon Russell, who collapsed as he cleared the snow at a waterworks facility in Arlington, MA. A neighbor saw him fall and called 911. He was taken to the hospital where he passed away, despite the best efforts of the EMTs and the hospital staff.

Gordon started his career in 1997 as a skilled laborer at the Weston Reservoir.  In 2002, he moved to Metro Grounds Maintenance out of Chelsea. He was known as a hard worker who quietly got the job done. Gordon was a true gentleman. He was quiet by his nature and never had a bad word to say. Simply put, he was a good guy who was liked by everyone. He will be sorely missed.

Gordon was a veteran, having served in the Marine Corps. He leaves his wife Mary, five children and six grandchildren. Gordon took great pride in his large family. This fund has been set up to  help the family in their time of need.
