Our beautiful mother, Tina LaFlamme has been diagnosed with Lymphoma.
She will be seeing an oncologist next week where we will find out the stage, treatment options and other details.
Last month, our step-father was laid off from his 15+ year career and with the loss of his job also came the loss of my family's insurance.
With a pre-existing condition, insurance is extremely expensive. Without insurance, treatment just isn't affordable; each session costing about 100K.
Of course, we are in the process of seeking coverage, but she will need to start treatment as soon as possible.
