Running 10K to support The Stroke Association

Tax deductible
Before ending 2018 I decided I needed a challenge for 2019. One of my New Year resolutions was to start running because I've always hated it since I was at school, and I've never been very good at it. But, as soon as I went for a run the first time, I decided that my 2019 challenge was gonna be running related and one day, talking with my colleagues at work, I decided that I was joining the Manchester 10K run on the 19th of May.

Even when this could have been my only challenge (until January I never did 5K), I also decided to do it in the best way possible, trying to help people while achieving my goal. Therefore, I decided to run for a charitable cause and to raise money for them, and I chose the 'Stroke Association'.

As some of you may know, my mum had a stroke 3 years ago and not many people is aware that 15 million people suffer stroke worldwide each year. Of these, 5 million die and another 5 million are permanently disabled. Nearly 60% of stroke deaths are in women, and stroke kills twice as many women as breast cancer. Stroke is the third leading cause of death for women, that's why I decided to raise money for the Stroke association, which helps people by funding vital services and life-saving research.

So, please, if you can donate something, it doesn't really matter the amount, I'll be greatly in debt with you.

'I'm running to conquer Stroke'

Thank you very much :)
