Over the last several weeks, we have witnessed the thrashing remnants of hardened patriarchy in the top levels of our nation. Women like Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Susan B. Anthony,  Alice Paul, Patsy Takemoto Mink, and Dolores Huerta  among thousands of others have pushed for women's rights to full protection of the law for centuries.

We are standing at a crossroads in our nation. One question is facing us square on: Will we go backward or will we move forward. That is our fundamental choice.

Central to that fundamental choice is whether or not we will be a society that protects and defends all people's democratic right to help shape the world we live in--through our votes--or not.

#RubyWooPilgrimage will journey back in time, before #metoo, to days when white male domination was the air our foremothers breathed. Yet, they found the strength to stand up and push back!

We will witness our foremothers' strength and courage as they fought to attain, maintain and protect the right of all women to vote

God is bringing the last pieces of the #RubyWooPilgrimage together! On day 3 of the pilgrimage we will roll into Atlantic City where Fannie Lou Hamer 's speech before the 1964 Democratic Convention marked the turning point of the Civil Rights Movement. Four high-powered women who are regional activists and organizers throughout South Jersey will join us at the Atlantic City Civil Rights Garden to talk with the women of the RubyWooPilgrimage about importance of carrying the spirit of Fannie Lou Hamer forward in electoral politics! Unbelievable gift from God!

Here's more info on Fannie Lou Hamer's impact on the 1964 Democratic Convention in Atlantic City: https://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/31/magazine/31gray.t.html

Plus, today another friend contributed another $100. We are now within $66 of passing the $5000! Will you help us pass $5000?
