Mission trip to Kenya

The Kenya Project, Nakuru, Kenya

My name is Jane Lipscomb.  I am a retired Certified Nurse-Midwife and former Health Department nurse. Since my husband died, I have been working on my “bucket list”.   High on that list has been going to another country to share my nursing skills and minister to those in need.  That opportunity has arisen through the Kenya Project.   I will be going as part of a medical team to perform physicals and provide episodic care to the students at Mountain Park Academy in Nakuru, Kenya. The team leaves Atlanta on May 27th and returns on June 10th.

In 1999 Isabella and Jeremiah Robi began the Mountain Park Academy on their property near Nakuru, Kenya. Soon after,  The Kenya Project was formed by friends at Mountain Park Methodist Church in Stone Mountain, Georgia.   Since then, numerous mission teams and funding have provided cleanwater,  buildings, scholarships,  a library,  kitchen improvements,  a playground,  homes for orphans,  medical care and many other necissities.

For more information on The Keny Project in Nakuru, go to www.thekenyaproject.org./

The cost of the trip is $3500. This includes in-country costs, flights, visa, immunizations and other additional expenses.   Any money raised over this total will be donated to The Kenya Project.  The funds are needed by April 20, 2018.

If you cannot donate,  it is also helpful to share this link.
I am gratetul for anything you can do to support the mission trip and the work of the Kenya Project in Nakuru.
