Barclay needs a home

Barclay is approx. 8 years old and has lived his entire life on the streets of Ashfield. A lovely young couple have been caring for Barclay and his friends for the last couple of years, however they now need to move and much to their dismay they cannot take Barclay and his friends with them.

Barclay has recently had surgery on his eyes for entropian, he has no teeth and has flea allergies, mum cat also has no teeth and tabby is missing teeth and has a deformed leg. Clearly these cats have had a rough time on the streets and it's finally time for them to retire to a safe, forever home where they can live out the rest of their lives.

Amazingly we have had an offer of a home for Barclay and his friends to stay together forever, if we can build an enclosure for them. This is where we need your help.

We have received a quote for an enclosure which includes an under cover section/sleeping quarters and a tunnel that leads out to an outdoor garden enclosure. The cost will be approx. 3k including installation and we need to raise these funds ASAP as we have a deadline to move the cats to their new home by the end of November. Any additional money raised will go towards food, litter, worm/ flea treatment and for future vet bills.

Please help us help Barclay and his friends retire to a life of comfort and safety :)

Sorry for the late update, there have been people working on the enclosure every weekend for the last 4 or 5 weeks and here is the result so far :) it is still a work in progress but for the most part it has been completed. The enclosure looks great and the cats are doing great, Barclay has been coming up for pats recently.

Thank you again to everyone who donated and shared this gofundme. We wouldn't have been able to help these cats without your help.

Someone remind me to check the weather report next time we build an enclosure...part 2 of the enclosure was built and installed yesterday in 45 degrees temps :)

There is one last section (the indoor enclosure) which prob won't be installed until early next year. Unfortunately Les who has built and will be installing the indoor section had a heart attack last week and is currently in hospital recovering. We hope Les has a speedy recovery and in the mean time the cats no doubt will enjoy their space, while we will continue to think up ways to make it more interesting for them :)

The second part of the outside/ garden enclosure is on it's way and will be installed next weekend! :) and I've attached a photo of the current enclosure the right side up this time plus the food, litter trays and bowls dropped off for them :)

I'm happy to report all 4 cats were successfully relocated on Saturday. Unfortunately the enclosure is only partly completed at this stage as we're waiting for the person to come in and concrete the area where the sleeping quarters will be installed. The person concreting the area is kindly doing it free of charge so it's a matter of when he has some spare time, which we hope will be sometime this week.

The photos I've uploaded shows the outside/ garden enclosure, however we decided it's not quite big enough so I ordered and paid for another one yesterday which we should receive shortly.

I also took some new bowls, litter trays and a couple of weeks worth of good quality food for the cats and I will take more when I go back to help building the rest of the enclosure.

I will send through another update when the next section has been installed.

Thanks again for everyones generous contributions we couldn't have been able to do this without your help.
