Help Ben & Lucy weather the storm

Donation protected
Last week a huge tornado touched down in the small suburb of Dunrobin, Ottawa, destroying homes and gardens, ripping away 100 year old trees, and generally leaving a trail of destruction and despair for local residents. Oli and Aimee hid under the stairs while the tornado pulled apart their home, and Ben struggled to get home through the chaos not knowing if they were okay. Thankfully they were all okay, although their home and car weren't so lucky (see pictures below).

As locals try to come to terms with all that has been damaged and lost, and what the cost may be to rebuild their homes and their community, we have set this page up to help Ben, Lucy, Charlotte, Aimee and Oli to get back on their feet over the next few months. It will only raise a fraction of what they need, but it's one way to show we care and to provide hope.

Funds raised will go towards the various unexpected costs of moving, temporary rental accommodation,  rebuilding and repairs, replacing uninsured items, and helping life continue as normally as possible. Hopefully the major home rebuilding (or replacement) costs will be picked by the insurers in time, but there will still be many additional unexpected costs over the months to come that these funds will go towards.

If you feel able to help the Bridgstocks weather the storm please do donate. Maybe through our compassion and generosity we can help "give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning." Thank you!
