Save Satin ([sat-n])

I was asked to start a gofundme to help Satin ([sat-n] )
.   As a Combat Veteran myself, I cannot sit idle and watch an animal suffer in pain.

A friend had a young dog that we came upon in bad shape. She had disappeared for a couple days supposedly last Saturday and crawled back with smashed front paws/legs and fever/infection on/about wednesday 8/12/15  we were not there, this is what we were told.

We arrived on the property Friday night and found her in misery. We had seen her in the past and when she heard us pull up she came crawling out from under a trailer pushing her back legs and chest across the dirt and stopping in the road in front of our car.

I jumped out and another friend of mine riding with me held her, Satin just knew we would help her. She had refused the 4 days prior to come out to eat or drink to the caretaker and owner, but came out to us.

After being told no, no, dont worry, we grabbed her and rushed her to CVS (California Vet Specialists) in Murrieta Friday night, after convincing them she wouldnt make it if we didnt, she was in bad shape.

Doctors think maybe she was caught in fence or something fell on her. The injuries were about a week old and she had 103.1 fever, swelling, blood, torn pads, smashed toe, broken right leg in a triangle shape at the joint.

She is stable now, on antibiotics, pain medicine at Sunnymead, we are struggling to find the funds to get her leg fixed.  Doctor has made some agreements with us to take payments and this will put our family in an unexpected stress.

We have taken over ownership to rescue her, because the cost went over $2300 at CVS for ER care late Friday night through the weekend until we could transfer her this morning 8/17/2015.  The previous owner said go ahead and get her fixed, but backed out when the cost came into question..

Saturday the decision was made by the owner to just pick up Satin and bring her back to the property and "if she lives she lives, if she dies she dies.  She is just a dog."

She would not have made it if we didnt stop them from that course of action and convince them to let us take over. We are doing everything we can but need a little help since we have to cover the $2300 (already on my credit card) and all additional costs for broken leg, wound care, Perscriptions, spaying, vaccinations, toys, bedding, etc...

Total is
$2300 for Emergency services 8/14-8/17 - dehydrated, anemic, 103.1 fever, xrays, blood work, wound care, wrappings, pain medication

$2250 8/17- 8/21 estimated for broken leg surgery, spay, and all wound care the next 2 months, bandage changes, antibiotics, pain management etc.

Were trying our hardest to give her, a new forever home (with us).

Thank you and God Bless you for your generosity and prayers.
