Sue's Med. Bills for LYME DISEASE

Donation protected
Hi my name is Sue Stazetski.  I am a single mom of an incredible 12 year old son and I am battling a horrific disease.  I am originally from a small town near Pittsburgh Pa and I have been teaching since 1994.

My battle started in 2006 and has been long and excruciatingly painful both mentally and physically.  I have gone to every Dr. and specialist imaginable. I have been tested, re-tested, poked and prodded for everything imaginable. I have had so many X-rays and scans done that I’m pretty sure that I glow in the dark.

This summer I tested positive for Advanced Lyme
disease.  However, this is a disease that according to the government “doesn’t exist” therefore the treatment is not covered under insurance. It has been such a long and horrific battle that unfortunately it is consuming my entire life and progressively getting worse.  The bottom line is that I absolutely need to start treatment as soon as possible, but the protocol is intense and incredibly expensive.

The Lyme has invaded every ounce of my body and my central nervous system.  It is in my joints, my spine, rib cage, hands, eyes, kidneys, adrenal gland/cortisol levels.  My knees and feet are so bad that I can barely walk.  I cringe at the sight of stairs as they have become a painful obstacle for me.  I am living proof that this disease is real and it does exist.

Due to the continued deterioration of my condition, I need to proceed with the treatment that I have been putting off due to the extraordinary expenses involved.  I have a PICC line in my dominant arm and it is anticipated that I will need to undergo IV treatment for 7-9 months due to the severity of my case.  The cost of my treatment is $40,000 which again is not covered by insurance.  Due to the intensity of this treatment I am told that I will not be able to continue to work during my treatment.

I am now in desperate need of help. As hard as I have tried to remain independent, I am no longer able to meet all of my needs-which specifically are for additional money to help cover the cost of the treatment, and my home health care nurse.  If anyone can help me with my fight I would be eternally grateful.  This is a huge financial burden and even the smallest contribution would help me enormously.

May God Bless you all and I ask that you please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.  I will continue to pray for all of you and I hope that my story will make a difference in the awareness of LYME disease.

Love you all to the moon and back
