Veterans of Foreign Wars Don Diego Post 7420 established in 1955 is located in the heart of historic barrio Logan Heights in San Diego, California. Don Diego VFW Post 7420 is in dire need of a new roof in order to continue its unwavering support of our local veterans and community. The roof is leaking badly, particularly over the areas of our rental/meeting hall and the kitchen used by veterans and the community at large in support of other fundraising activities. We have been hard at work raising money, we have raised close to 12K dollars through fundraising events. However, the El Niño season is quickly coming upon us and we want to make sure we can get the roof completed in time before we incur further damage which will end up costing us more money in the long run.
We are held to the same state sanitation standards as any other business, and if our roof is not replaced soon it will dramatically affect our ability to raise the funds that we use to keep the post running and doing all the things it does to support its veterans and community. Please help us to continue on with our mission by donating whatever you can to assist us with the cost for replacing our roof. As we are a non-profit 501(c) foundation, all donations are also tax deductible.

Our membership is elderly and we are in the process of attracting new members both men and women so that we can better serve Veterans and the Youth of our Community.
