Emergency Medical Assistance

Tax deductible
Hello friends.  As you know, My Hopes In You Small Animal Rescue, Inc.  has been helping small animals for over 8 years now.   The rescue is run on a volunteer basis (I do not take a salary either).  We have been trying to get the community to assist us with the every day cost of running the rescue ( such as electric, oil heat, feed, bedding, etc.) and so far we have 88 pledges of $5.00 a month out of the needed 600 to help us with every expenses. THANK YOU TO  ALL OF YOU WHO HAVE PLEDGED!  Please keep spreading the word.
However,  we are currently in need of urgent medical funding.   We have, over the passed few weeks, taken in 4 chinchillas from a terrible situation (after being evaluated by a veterinarian they scored a 2/9) , a mom (who is expecting another litter any day now), dad, and three baby guinea pigs, 20 de-beaked chickens, 30 hamsters,  4 rabbits from a hoarding case (one has tumor on back that needs to have surgery, another with nose injury, another with a broken leg) and now most recently 16 rabbits that are in horrific condition as well. The most recent are with Dr. Furst of Hudson Highland where they are being evaluated.
I am trying to post the nicer looking pictures to avoid scarring those of us who are sensitive to these issues.  I have no choice but to not only look at these animals but to care for them, clean their wounds and help them to feel safe, secure and comfortable.  I will post the more graphic pictures on our website at myhopesinyou.org.
Once these animals have been cleared and in good health they will be available for adoption.  I will post pictures in an album on our website so that you do not need to look if you do not wish to.  However, the fact remains that this is a real issue ..if you cannot stand the photos, imagine the pain these babies are in!
Nobody likes to ask for funds, but sadly, we live in a world where money does have an impact on the care these animals get.  We have never been let down by our supporters and we know that if you all share this and spread the word we can continue with the surgeries and medical needs for these animals.  The last batch of rabbits were rescued back in October 2017 and did not receive the medical care they needed...we drove 12 hours this Saturday into Sunday to take them here (also brought 15 to another rescue who also is having them all vetted) and they are already on their way to receiving much needed medical care.
Funding should not be an issue...but it is.  Please spread the word. please share.  Please help these wee ones so that they can literally be comfortable in their own skin.
As always, THANK YOU ALL for helping us to help those without voices!!!
