As many of you know our dear friend and co-worker, Scott Balcom passed away unexpectedly on Friday.
Scott was a genuinely decent man who loved his family. Prior to returning to Mapfre Insurance and Massachusetts, Scott had shared how much he missed his family and how he was looking forward to coming “home” to watch his grandson grow.
In an effort to pay tribute to Scott’s life; several friends and co-workers are working to create a trust (see update below) for Scott’s grandson in Scott's memory. The trust will be established through a local bank, likely Webster Five. We are using gofundme as a way to collect donations for the trust. The bank address will also be shared once the trust is created should you prefer to make your memorial contribution directly to the bank.

*UPDATE 4-14-15: Due to tax reporting requirements, in lieu of a trust account, the money will be issued directly to Scott's son from this gofundme account to be used as a college fund for Scott's grandson, Evan.
