The Roy Cape Foundation is committed to developing music education programmes in at- risk communities throughout Trinidad and Tobago, as well as in other countries in the Caribbean Region.

The Roy Cape Foundation will partner with like-minded artistic and cultural organizations to develop community based initiatives that uses music as the predominant methodology for engaging young persons and in particularly at-risk youth who may be vulnerable to the negative impact of crime, violence and other  anti-social behaviors.

WHY MUSIC?
The Roy Cape Foundation supports the view that through the process of learning music, young persons in particular, can achieve their full potential and become positive examples of what can be achieved through sustained effort and dedication. We believe that organized activity involving music education can create a positive influence in communities and can play a creative role in connecting families, creating bonds of friendship and  building  community solidarity.

MISSION:
To make music literacy and instrument performance programmes available to interested persons of various ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds throughout Trinidad and Tobago in preparation for their pursuit of possible careers in the Arts, Entertainment and Music  Industry

WHAT WILL MONEY BE USED FOR:

Eb Alto Saxophone,
Bb Tenor Saxophone,
Bb Clarinet, Db flute,
Guitar,
Bass Guitar,

Keyboards

WHO IS ROY CAPE?
Roy Cape is a Trinidadian saxophonist active as a band musician for more than fifty years and as a bandleader for more than thirty. He is known throughout the islands and the Caribbean diasporas in North America and Europe  Learn More Here
