Roxy Madison - Cancer Fund
Her family (dad and mom, Paul and Lori; and her sister and brother, Mackenzie and Jack), have been with her all the way. Her mom stayed by her side 24/7. Many nights some or all of her family stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton (thank you Ronald McDonald for your support). Roxanne has been a real trouper through all of this, often thinking of her family and the friends she’s made at the hospital more than herself. Roxy always went out of her way to make new students feel welcome at North Park Collegiate in Brantford. She never wanted anyone to be on their own. She brings that same caring nature to McMaster, even when it was hard for her to put on a smile herself.
The cancer has had an impact on everyone in the family, emotionally, physically and financially. Their close-knit family is struggling with every-day life activities. They’ve been trying to manage financially quietly on their own up until now. We’re asking for your support. As a community we need to come together and reduce their stress and worry by raising funds so this amazing family can focus all their strength on getting Roxy better. We hope your donations will also give them emotional support. We hope your donations will say: we love you, we care about you, and we wish you peace and hope in this difficult time.
All prayers welcome. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting them.
Thank you so much for all the love and support you've shown us all.. we are very touched. 2016 has been an absolute nightmare for our family. But we are starting to come out of the fog.. our prayers have been answered and we are home for Christmas. Roxy looks good and feels good. She's very tired but she's been regularity going to her class at school. We have a wonderful teacher from North park that come to the house for science. She's lovely. We don't have any scans until after the New Year. A bit of a break for Christmas is perfect.
It's so nice to have everyone home. It's all we want for Christmas. All our prayers go to our friends who will be on the ward. Roxy is in contact with her friends there and we send strength and love to all of those braves fighters.
We cannot thank you all enough for the kindness... thank you to Jennifer for all she has done and still does to support our family. Her friendship means the world to us.
Merry Christmas to you all and a very healthy New Year.
Life is precious and more fragile than we truly realize. Let's not take anything for granted.... kiss your babies and love on each other.... it's really the only thing that matters.
Thank you again,
The Madison family❤️
