Rowan's Living Support Fund

Hi friends!


So for anyone who doesn't know me, I'm Rowan, a student & queer community organizer in the Portland, ME community. I have recently come out to my family & community as a trans nonbinary person. While my friends have been incredibly supportive and loving, my family has unfortunately not reacted the same way.

My family (except my mom), who holds many toxic conservative values, has not interacted with me at all since coming out, and is basically acting like I don't exist. My mom is trying very hard to understand but is not supportive of my gender (or of my sexuality). I have just been given an ultimatum by my mom that if I don't "act normal" and not be who I am at home, that I need to find somewhere else to live.

With all of this and many other factors, I haven't been able to work since last summer & my mental illnesses (I have depression, OCD, social anxiety, ptsd, & adhd) have made it hard for me to find a job. I am currently a student at USM & am searching for a job, but until then I need money to buy food/gas/other needs. If anyone could help out, even just a little bit, I would be super appreciative and greatful. Thanks to all who support me in any way they can, love and light to you. <3
