Rotary Park on the Boise River Greenbelt

Donation protected
Three Treasure Valley Rotary Clubs (Metro, Centennial, and Eagle/Garden City) have been working for several years to construct the Rotary Park on the Greenbelt, on the newest section just west of the Trestle Bridge. We are planning to complete the project this summer!

The park will provide respite for walkers, runners and cyclists on the Greenbelt as they learn about the history of the area: Government Island, the Trestle Bridge, the Monuments and the 50 years history of the Greenbelt.

Your contribution will help us tell about Boise's history and celebrate the Greenbelt's 50th anniversary in September!

The park will feature park benches, a bike repair station, bird houses, a little free library, landscaping and three interpretive signs. The featured element will the D.A.R. monument which commemorates Oregon Trail pioneers, which will be relocated to our site.

The total cost of the project is about $73,000. We have been raising funds from a variety of sources, including the sale of commemorative bricks. Order Bricks here .  We have already raised $45,000 but we need to raise an additional $28,000 in order to complete the project.  Our project has been delayed by the 2017 flooding and other factors beyond our control.  Now we are ready to get this done!

Our goal is to complete the park in time for the city's 50th year celebration in September.  You can help make this unique park on the Greenbelt a reality!
