Rotary Christmas Tree

The Glen Head Rotary Club is in desperate need for community support to replace the dead Christmas tree located across from the Glen Head railroad station. The original tree was graciously donated nearly a year ago from the Fischetti family in memory of Mario Fischetti. Unfortunately a town truck uprooted the tree during the winter snow removal.

Every year the Rotary club sponsors a Christmas tree lighting where several hundred children get to meet Santa and celebrate the holidays. Our plan this year is to replace the tree in time for the tree lighting so children and those in the community can enjoy a colorfully lit Christmas tree throughout the holidays. We also plan to add a heavy duty chain link fence with concrete posts to ensure that the tree is better protected in the future.
