Roslyn's Celebration of Life

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a woman who epitomized the true nature of positivity in the midst of the storm. Roslyn Echols Landfair showed us all how to continue to live despite our harships and unfortunate circumstances. She danced and sung her way through her battle with cancer,  until her final day on March 13, 2017. She left many of us with heavy hearts but also happy memories. The life she led reminds us that life is what you make it and that we should continue to praise God at all times.

This GoFundMe account has been established to help pay for a portion of Roslyn's funeral expenses. Let us all do what we can to give her the proper homegoing celebration that she deserves.

If you are reading this and were not fortunate enough to meet Roslyn, but would like to donate,  here is a brief overview of her battle with cancer.

On December 23, 2013, Roslyn was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. In 2014, she underwent chemotherapy surgery and radiation. She  thought everything was fine after treatment, but sadly in February of 2015, she started having agonizing pain in her back. Roslyn went back to the doctor for an MRI and found out that the cancer had spread to several areas of her body, including her spine, shoulder, hip and pelvis.   She traveled to Houston, Texas, for a second opinion and was sad to learn the initial diagnosis was correct. She returned home to once again start chemotherapy and fight for her life.

Roslyn had three types of chemotherapy,  but her body rejected every treatment. She was unable to work for two years because the chemotherapy left her severely sick and extremely fatigued. She lived with a pain pump inside her stomach because the pain was simply unbearable at times, but you would never know it, as she often posted videos laughing and singing while on her way to treatment and sometimes in her hospital bed.

Roslyn may have lost her battle to cancer but she won so much more in life. She won family that loved and supported her, she made friendships that would last a lifetime, and most importantly she won favor in the eyes of the Lord.

Thank you all for your contributions, love and support!

Sincerely
Keya Rochelle Ritchie  (Cousin of Roslyn Echols) on behalf of Dyrece Echols
