Rosko's Eye Treatments

Rosko is a 13-year-old chihuahua mix who was adopted from Moreno Valley Animal Shelter on Friday, March 3rd.  He was already missing one eye and the other was sutured shut because it was badly infected and enlarged.  Nobody knows exactly what happened, but his chances of being adopted due to his age and medical condition was very slim.

His sutures were taken out on Tuesday, March 7th and his eye was still very inflamed.  After a visit to an animal ophthalmologist, we discovered a massive hole in the front of his eye.  While his body has "repaired" it with fibrous tissue, the doctor is unsure if the tissue is strong enough to hold.  For the meantime, Rosko is on many different expensive medications to help with the infection.  Hopefully the medications work, because the removal of his only eye would be the next step towards his recovery.

While our hearts are very big for senior/special needs animals, we are currently living on one income.  Because these visits, medications, and procedures are so expensive, we're asking for help for Rosko's treatments.  It would mean the world to us to help us get Rosko to a full recovery, whether it's with or without his eye.  Rosko is such a sweet, loving boy and I want nothing more than to show him that love means more than age or his special needs.
