Rosie Evenson Support

Donation protected
*I have chosen to not specify an amount to raise for the Evensons because the needs truly are unknown and unpredictable.  We want people to be able to give based on what they're led to give, not compelled to meet a big goal.  It's so hard to 'ask' for funds and we would give ANYTHING to not be in this situation. The reality is that their needs are many and any amount is truly helpful.  They will carry the burden of extra expenses for years even after treatment is finished.*

Brief update from the original post:
It's been a rough road...we've had weeks of unexpected hospital stays. Rosie had to be emergency airlifted recently, and before that, transported by ambulance.  The chemo is so hard on her body that it has made her very ill. At this point she's had two major surgerys, weeks of radiation, blood transfusion and as I write, she's been bed-ridden in the hospital for more than a week.  The family has probably spent more than 50% of their time in the hospital since the diagnosis...and that means being separated from their other two girls as they stay with Angie's parents when Rose is in the hospital.

Original Post:
On Monday, September 26th, my precious niece Rosie (3 yrs) was diagnosed with kidney cancer. She is the daughter of my sister Angie and her husband Aaron, and sister to Grace (5), Sophia (1), and Lincoln (2 months). We are devastated beyond words. As I write (on Tuesday, September 27th), surgery is underway to remove the large tumor in her abdomen, along with her left kidney. She will recover for about a week, and then begin months of chemo and radiation, as the cancer has spread into her lungs. They are at Sanford's Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD (the castle).

On Thursday, September 22, they were at Angie's parents' house in Mitchell, SD when they took Rose to urgent care for a fever. In a nightmarish turn of events, a cancer diagnosis followed only four days later. Their comfort right now is trusting that God is in control. That being said, right now it's hard to even breathe, so they need people to rise up in faith for them.

Expenses at this time are very unknown  but will for sure include travel out of state every week for several months, for chemo and radiation. Best case scenario would be finishing chemo in June, 2017 (it will likely be longer than that).   Rosie does have health insurance, but how much it will cover is unknown.

The Evensons' are not requesting funding, but I've been receiving requests for where to send support, so am creating this page for them.
