Name a Rose for Dmitri Hvorostovsky

This campaign is to raise funds to memorialize Dmitri Hvorostovsky by naming a new white rose after him. White roses are especially significant to Dmitri's fans ever since he was showered with them after his comeback performance at the Metropolitan Opera.
We have not raised enough now in June, so we are revising the time frame. Hopefully, we can raise enough to name a rose next year. "We are working with a breeder in Canada who has this rose available in his test gardens. He will know in June if it is good to go, then he will send it to his growers and it should come onto the market by spring of 2020. It is fragrant. In cool climates, the buds may have a pink cast, but they open fully white." Perhaps he will have another one ready, or another grower will. The momentum for this has to start with those of us who would like to see this living memorial to Dmitri.
The following information pertains to this rose which was what we were aiming for. The amount needed for the next one we find will depend on the breeder and the rose. Please, let's not let this chance to honor Dmitri in such a lasting and beautiful way, that will carry his name beyond the world of music, fall by the wayside. If we like the idea, it is up to us to get the momentum going, and if we do, it will:
"We can have this rose named Dmitri Hvorostovsky and have it join other roses named for famous and beloved people, such as John F. Kennedy and William Shakespeare. The cost to do this is 13,000 USD (subject to change, now that we have to look for a future rose), which will cover the rose and most or all of the fees here at Gofundme."
If we are unable to reach the goal, or if this rose does not meet the standards, we can look for another rose that will be worthy of the name. If we fail to raise enough money to name a beautiful white rose, the money that has been collected will be donated to the Hvorostovsky's chosen cause,
