Ron Sanchez Memorial Fund

Ron, a good friend and an American hero, was recently murdered while hiking the Appalachian Trail, a long-time goal of his.  I can't improve on the telling of his story in this article, so if you didn't know him please give it a read:

He was an integral part of the camping/hiking community in the OKC area and will be greatly missed.  

Please consider contributing a donation to help plant a tree on the shore of Lake Hefner to keep his memory alive.  All contributions exceeding the $1000 needed to dedicate the tree will be donated to Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust.

Everyone who donates will be invited to the dedication of the tree and will have their name listed when donating the excess to DAV.

If the $1000 goal needed to dedicate a tree is not reached by August 15, then everyone who contributed will be emailed for the option of having their donation refunded, or just donating it all to DAV.
