It's more than just a playground - it's about community. Listen to these wise kids. They have a vision!
Recently a group of parents have come together with the Romancoke on the Bay Community Association to create a new playground on the grounds of the Romancoke Community Clubhouse. Our kids need it! Many local parents & caretakers drive all the way to Matapeake School to take kids to a playground. Our goals are to improve the community and appeal to a broad age range including kids, parents, grandparents, adults, teens and caretakers.
The components we have chosen are:
- high quality & long-lasting
- low opportunity for vandalism (minimalistic design)
- can't “hide” in or behind them like a structure
- wide age range / appeal

View the Romancoke on the Bay community events on our website calendar. The events hosted by the Romancoke Community Association are open to all, and so is Membership. The Romancoke Community Clubhouse is also great private events venue, for everything from weddings to Fun Runs to family reunions.
