I'm Debra Berry and I met Roger Stimson in 2003 at a Burning Man meet and greet in Reno. Roger is the originator and camp host of the Burning Man Theme Camp RISA and creator of the Dancing Peacock art car. I've had the pleasure of camping at RISA for 11 years and know Roger to be a kind and generous soul.
Roger has been battling illness since June. He had to have surgery and is now undergoing chemotherapy, which is thankfully working! These past few months have been difficult and without income because the funding for the project he was working on was discontinued. Although there has been some assistance it is not enough for all the things life throws our way. Roger is uncomfortable asking for help, as most of us would be, but a donation no matter how small will make a big difference in his life. He remains surprisingly upbeat and positive about his future!
