ROEBUCK ROAD TO RECOVERY
Our dear friends, Steve and Catherine Roebuck from Tennessee, are going through an extremely difficult crisis.
Steve Roebuck injured his back last Friday and was bedridden for three days. Steve then suffered a heart attack on Sunday. He was rushed to the hospital, but after several tests he was then taken by ambulance to a second hospital (which happened to be out-of-network).
On Monday he was in surgery for three hours for his heart which involved implanting a stent into the artery. The right coronary artery was blocked 99%.
Steve is now at home resting and recovering. Catherine is his care giver. He will not begin cardiac rehabilitation for another two weeks. Steve is barely able to walk at this time. His job is in commercial construction, so Steve and Catherine are extremely concerned regarding their finances.
Steve's rehabilitation includes both his heart and back. They are very concerned as to how soon he can return to work.
Their daughter is going off to college and Steve was working overtime to help with her college expenses. However, those hours will be curtailed.
