ROD Lake Family Picnic

At ROD, we know the importance of sabbath and experiencing God’s beauty. We work to provide our men many opportunities to experience life as God intended in order to begin to build their own. One way we do that is by our annual ROD Family Lake Picnic. One of our Board Members, generously open their Cedar Creek Home and we get to have a big ROD Family Picnic on the lake.
Board members, Volunteers, and ROD Men all get together with our families and enjoy one another out at the lake. Many of our men never knew that life can have moments this good!
We are looking for ROD Family Picnic Sponsors in order to help support our growing needs of bus transportation to and from the lake, a children’s program so the adults can visit, and food and beverage costs for our growing numbers. Please prayerfully consider being a part of this beautiful time of fellowship, love, and rest.

Restoration Outreach of Dallas (ROD Ministries) is a non-profit organization seeking to restore lives and families by acting as an aide through the power of the Gospel to repair, restore, and redirect broken lives starting in area prisons. ROD is a full service ministry that walks alongside an offender or at risk offender to encourage him or her to a journey of hope and restoration.
Our discipleship program includes time during incarceration with extensive hands-on Bible teaching, accountability and direction, and continues after release with our unique and robust Aftercare Program .
We also work hard to develop strategic partnerships with other vital ministries and share best practices with other states and entities that desire to replicate the successful ROD model.
We were recently recognized by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) for our effective and measurable efforts in reducing recidivism and restoring lives.
Prison ministry is hard work and not for everyone, but for us, it is our deepest joy. We recoginze that not everyone feels called into prisons like we are, but providing funds, no matter how big or small, to help equip us to serve as many men and their families as possible is vital and critical to our existence.
It takes a village and your support through prayers and monetary means is deeply and continually appreciated.
