Rock and gem lovers, lapidary artists, rock hounds, and all those who share our love of rocks are asked to donate here for the protection and preservation of one of the last remaining hobby related websites and forums. The Rock Tumbling Hobby website, forum, and four Facebook pages are a true gems for those who make them their online home - and for the many thousands of newcomers who have found the answers and assistance they needed, in a friendly and encouraging, teaching environment.
The RTH domain is up for sale, and rather than see it converted into a for-profit website we need to raise $5000 to preserve and protect it for hobbyist generations to come.
Your contribution here will go towards the purchase of the www.rocktumblinghobby.com domain, followed by assumption of adminstrative control of the public forum located at www.andy321.proboards.com, and the four Facebook RTH pages (www.facebook.com/groups/TumblerRTH/ , www.facebook.com/groups/SlabsnCabsRTH, www.facebook.com/groups/WireWrappingRTH, www.facebook.com/groups/JewelryRTH).

We have received a committment from the current owner to sell the domain to us if this amount can be raised by 3/30/2017. If our goal is not met by this date, the site will be sold to the highest bidder and this valuable hobby resource is likely to be converted into a for-profit business website and lost to the RTH community forever.
