Help us raise funds to share a  powerful independent documentary with audiences across the country!

Rocío is the true story of a mother of three who is suddenly diagnosed with end-stage kidney cancer. Unable to accept the grim prognosis, her family begins a holistic, natural treatment plan at home. After a turn in health with progressive results, Rocío and her eldest son seek out a clinic that specializes in holistic medicine in Baja California. But the risk is great. Since mother and son are undocumented, crossing the border means they may never be able to come back.

Since our first screening this summer, we have witnessed a tidal wave  of a response from communities across California.
30948990_1537265463483445_r.jpegHere are some of the places we've screened so far:
Carson City Hall
UC Berkeley
Perkins+Will Los Angeles
Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles
... and we have plans for many more!

We are asking for your help to bring the film to its next destination: Your very home.

We believe the film challenges the misconceptions of immigrant families. It provides an opportunity for all of us to connect and draw inspiration from a beautiful, heartbreaking letter to Mamá.

We are seeking funds to pay for:

1. Film Festival Submissions (average $75/festival, to be selected from here).

2. Professional Final Sound Mix and Color Correction

3. Creation of a DCP (Digital Cinema Package , $1,000-$2,000 the industry standard used to project films).

4. Travel and promotional expenses as we continue share Rocío with the world.

ALL SUPPORTERS will receive a credit at the end of the film and a link to view it as soon as we reach our goal!

Thank you all for your amazing support. When we started sharing ROCIO this summer we had no idea where it would take us. As a matter of fact, ever since Rocio got sick we have been operating on faith. The same faith that assures us we will find a place for the film where everybody can see it.

As of right now, we are focusing on organizing as many screenings as we can to share our message of inspiration and acceptance at schools and community centers across the country. Just as you have stood for your values in in the midst of midterm elections, harrowing headlines, and the migrant caravan, we stand in support of all immigrants and comprehensive immigration reform.

We would like to thank the Immigrant Film Festival in Boston, MA and Life after Life Films' Femfest in Los Angeles for recognizing our work. We would also like to thank everybody who has donated to our cause. We will re-edit the film to include ALL supporters in the final credits as soon as we reach our goal. We will then take the film to a post-production facility to be mastered. From there it is yours.

Hasta la victoria siempre
