Welcome Robofest US and International STEM Teams to Florida!
After 9 years of hard work by the Robofest teams, volunteers and sponsors; Lawrence Technological University – Robofest granted St Pete Beach Florida the privilege to host the 18th Robofest World Championship on June 1 – 3, 2017 at the St Pete Beach Community Center.
Now, all the students in the Tampa Bay Area and Florida can participate and witness an International World Championship STEM event.
Robofest is a festival of competitions with autonomous robots offering students the opportunity to master principles of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), Computer Science (CS), Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and problem solving skills while designing, constructing, and programming robots. Teams will be coming from 13 US States, and several countries. All students and teams can compete: K-3, junior, senior, and college divisions in the following broad & challenging categories:
Game, Exhibition, BottleSumo, RoboParade, Robot Drawing Contest (K–3), etc. Go to www.robofest.net for complete list.
In order to make this a rewarding and fun event for all the students, we need your support. We are seeking donations to help support the expenses for the teams (195), volunteers and judges (130) and organizers. We need Supplies and equipment for the teams, volunteers, and the competition. Food for the teams banquet on Thursday and pizza dinner on Friday. Volunteers food for Thursday, Friday and Saturday; they are the ones that are going to make this a great event for the students.
This would be an amazing educational gift to give to our students. Our students and volunteers will be very grateful for your help in making it possible for them to compete, fellowship and connect with other STEM students from all over the world. We only have a few weeks left. We are looking to raise around $10,000 - every little bit helps. Please donate - all donations are welcome!
