This is their story told by Bria:
Riley and I have been working with a team of doctors over the past few months to have a baby. We were finally successful, but on Monday we had an ultrasound that revealed an ectopic pregnancy. We were instructed to stay Monday night for a tubal removal on Tuesday. Well, Monday night, Riley started having some pain after being sick with (what we thought was) “bronchitis” for about a month.. we decided to make a trip to the ER for him. Long story short, Riley was diagnosed with a Leukemia in the ER and was transferred to Oschner, Main Campus. We began treatment immediately, and have not slowed since. My surgery yesterday went well and they were able to remove the tube with no complications. The team here at Oschner has been nothing short of amazing. Riley is in good spirits and is having way too much fun goofing off with the nurses as usual.  We will at least a month of inpatient stay here in the start, but an encouraging treatment plan is being set into place to get him all fixed up. We want to say thank you for all the prayers, calls, and texts. We have already felt the love and support of so many. We know God has everything under control. Our faith is strong and we are grateful for the opportunity to grow even closer to our God who loves us so! ❤️

Riley will be going through an intensive treatment and is in a highly sterilized unit. We do appreciate the visitors, but ask that you please check with us before just popping in. Absolutely no one who is sick, has been sick, or has been around anyone who was sick is allowed into the room. Visitors will be asked to follow specific protocols, so just please be aware and honor everything that is asked of you.
