Hello, my name is Sherri Green Wakehouse, a very dear Friend of Robert Yoder. I'm writing on behalf of Robert Yoder and his family.
Everyone that truly knows Robert, knows he is an honest as they come, a genuine man with integrity and a heart of gold. We also know he thrives on adrenaline and his love for snowboarding and racing his dirt bike are two of his favorite sports.
On August 3, 2019 after a month of recovery from a clavicle injury, he was eager to go to practice to compete. During his practice on Saturday at Thunder Valley, he had an accident and broke his back in 3 places. Robert owns and operates his own hardwood floor company and does all the work himself.
Robert is the primary provider for his family, his wife Jade, his daughter Miriah and his grandson who all live together.
With this terrible injury to his back Robert most likely wont be able to return to his career in the hardwood flooring business as it is a very physical job requiring doing everything he cannot do with his injury and the locations of the breaks in his back. Spinal fusion is a possibility but we won't know until a later date.
This family needs any help they can get financially and any donations as little or big anyone can make will help them through this very trying time. Robert needs at least 12 weeks to recover providing he doesn't have back surgery but also he has no clue as to what he may be able to do for a living and to provide for his family. He has great pride and this is not easy for him to accept but sometimes life throws us all great challenges and we need our friends just as he would be there for any friend in need. Updates will be continually posted and we ask for your support and prayers during this difficult time .
