Robert Place was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer two days after Christmas. A few days later he and his family received news that it had spread to five other major organs. Bob is always there to help anyone that needs it without question. He has spent his life sharing his love for art, music, and videography with his kids. He is the greatest father and husband to his family; always there to comfort and encourage them. He is the one to count on for a quick-witted joke and a smile that never goes away even with the new struggle that cancer has brought. Bob’s wife of 35 years and children recently got tattoos to match one of his to show their love, support, and unity throughout this journey. Even with the beginning struggles of cancer, Bob has been able to pick his family up and carry them, promising that everything will be alright.

I have started this GoFundMe page because along with the psychological toll that this illness come with, there is also a financial burden in tow. The medical expences that come along with the fight to beat this cancer are heavy, so any small amount counts.

Of course we ask that you PRAY and PLEASE SHARE this story to create a force of prayer warriors in order to help this mountain of a husband and dad through the battle he and his family will encounter.

We are so glad that my dad's anemia numbers came up this time. He got his chemo today. He actually is still getting it, because he goes into the clinic and receives 4 hours of chemo, then comes home with a pump. The pump continues to infuse chemicals into his body for two and a half days. My dad is our rock. This just proves how strong he is. Through all of this, he keeps his spirits, and our spirits up. After this treatment, he will go in for his second scan to actually look at the progress. Keep the prayers coming! Our family thanks you so much for your support.

I spoke too soon about my dad being on for chemo last week. Apparently they called him last Monday morning, the day of chemo, and said that his anemia numbers were still too low, so they held off on chemo. Also concerning is that the same thing happened this Monday. The nurse said that he is still too anemic for chemo. Hopefully the supplement that he is taking will begin to work. He will also be talking to the doctor tomorrow to see if they have any other ideas. Other than that, he feels pretty good. Our family went to Easter Sunrise Service together, and later had a first time Easter Cookout! Thank you for all of your prayers and support!

Great news, the doctor has said that my dad can go ahead with the chemo as scheduled tomorrow. We had been afraid that she would hold off on this round because his last labs showed that he was anemic. Thanks to a good friend of my mom's recommendation, my dad started on a supplement from the health food store. That, and a supplement recommended from the Palliative Care doctor seem to be helping with his energy. Thank you for your prayers!! Keep them coming!

Thank you for all of your support and prayers!! They are working! Bob has now undergone 5 Chemo treatments and tolerated all but the first one. His tumor marker has dropped significantly!! This is a sign of killing this cancer!! Thank the Lord! He has had some days of feeling pretty good, and has enjoyed his family during those times. Recently he has felt very tired. At his last doctors appointment, he found out that he has become anemic. The doctor said that she may have to postpone the next chemo treatment if the lab work Friday does not show an improvement in the area of anemia. Please pray that he is able to stay on track with treatments!! Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated!
