Robert Hogue Memorial Fund

Donation protected
Sadly, we have to update friends and family with the peaceful passing of Robert Jr.   Unfortunately Robert was unable to recover from the brain trauma due to the tragic accident.

Thank you to all that have donated so far.  All sums donated will be given directly to the family to be used towards hospital costs, cremation costs and The Celebration of Life.  The family will place donations over and beyond these costs, into a trust fund.  The family is forever grateful.  Robert had a huge impact on those he crossed paths with and was and will always be loved by so many.

Rest in peace Robert you will be missed greatly but never forgotten!

Robert Hogue Jr's  immidiate family includes his  dad Rob Sr. (Hogie), mother Carmen, brothers Ken, Steven(Claudia), and Brandon.  Rob has a young son, and raises two young girls with his girlfriend Jodi in Lethbridge.  He has many relatives in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Alberta and Ontario.

Mid afternoon on Wednesday November 29th Robert Hogue Jr was in a terrible work accident.   The details on the accident are sketchy as the investigation is still ongoing. What we do know is that Rob was working for a Sandblasting Company at a site near Acheson, AB when he was struck by a piece of equipment.  Due to the impact that Rob took to his head, he is currently in a medically induced coma at the U of A hospital.  He has multiple injuries including a lacerated spleen, and severe injuries to his head.   Doctors are hoping that by keeping him in the induced coma they can control the brain swelling and the bleeding and avoid doing surgery.  It is not known how long that they will keep Rob in this state, but they have said that he will spend several weeks in the ICU before being moved into a rehabilitation room.  The family is praying for a full recovery, but they do recognize that Rob will have a very long and tough road ahead.  Any funds collected will be used to help pay for expenses for Rob's care while he is in the hospital, as well as expenses during his rehabilitation.  Because it's still so early treatment is still unknown, but any help that is given will be so much appreciated by both Rob and his family.  Robert is going to need all the love and support of his family and friends in the upcoming weeks.
