Road Trip For The Soul

UPDATE: This week the adventure begins
We leave this Friday for our trip. We are so excited to be able to spend some time together driving acrossed the country, seeing some of the beautiful scenery and making new stories. I hope you guys follow us along the way!
Greiving is really hard sometimes.
Especially in our unique situation. Our 9 year old son recently passed away after fighting a life-long battle with a body that was effected by a chromosome disorder. His little brother lost the same battle after living only a few short weeks in 2011. Needless to say it's been a really hard few years for this small town family... always being on edge, never getting to leave the house, and dealing with the hundreds of complications that come with the genetic disease. So many things that most people can't fathom, had to be done on a daily basis.
In our case the best way for us to deal with the recent loss, is to get out of the house and to enjoy some of this beautiful world that God has created for us. For 9 years the thought of traveling together has been only that–a day dream.
So what do we do now?
We've planned a two week trip that will take us around the country and back, allowing us to be adventurous, see family and friends and finally take our boys on a trip acrossed the nation.
