Project Upland Therapy
Upland Therapy is a program designed bring the traditions of upland hunting and the joys of bird dogs into a therapeutic level.
The goal of Upland Therapy is to provide an escape from both physical and psychological disabilities for young people, teens and combat veterans while sharing the rich heritage of upland hunting and bird dogs.
We will be providing year round camps and clinics which will teach conservation, the upland sporting life, marksmanship, dog training and handling while providing those with disabilities the chance to partake in lifestyle that can be enjoyed regardless of disabilities or socio-economic status.
Programs will be tailored to specific groups and needs and will include upland hunting, fly fishing, dog trailing, dog training and a therapy dog program; all at no cost to the guests. Studies have shown that outdoor activities and canine related activities increase coping, speed recovery and prevent relapse.
Currently we have several life coaches, doctors, outfitters and dog handlers who are willing to donate their time and expertise to help offset costs.
Thank you for your generous, life changing, support.
