Riverview Surplus Moline, Il flood disaster
Donation protected
My dad Schultze Bellmyer of Riverview Surplus in Moline, Illinois suffered devastation from the great flood of 2019. The Mississippi River flooded his Surplus store with chest high water. Thousands of dollars of inventory was destroyed.
Schultze who is 83 years old has operated this Surplus store with grit and passion for decades. If you know Schultze then you know how many fundraisers he did, at his store, for people of need .
Since his Surplus inventory consist of mostly used inventory, underwriters would not ensure his inventory.
Any help will be appreciated. Please share with as many as possible, especially in the Quad Cities!
Donations can also be sent to Shultze Bellmyer 1585 34th Ave. Moline, Illinois 61275
Update: Shultze has had many people who have been helping with cleaning up. Special thanks to his son Jeff and grandson Jeremy who are helping with cleaning and power washing and with throwing away items not salvageable. Special thanks to Dave and Sandy Swanson!
