Rising up against floods&droughts

Whilst the devastation of floods ravage my beloved home state of Kerala, the drought has been almost equally merciless in the beautiful country I now live in, Australia. I have already made small donations to help the fantastic relief efforts with both these disasters. And while I know that no donation is “too small”, I would love to try and do more for those helpless and struggling families both at home and in my home away from home. Every single penny counts and I am wholeheartedly committed to directing funds to the most reliable agencies where the results will be visible, palpable.

For every dollar raised through my page i pledge 50% to the flood victims in Kerala and 50% to the drought victims in rural Australia.  The last time I raised money for a cause, it was for the Redcross following the devastating earthquake in Nepal in 2015. Together with friends and family we crossed the target of 5000$ in just a matter of weeks! Fingers crossed we can do it again! 

Whilst we all perhaps wish we could help with tragic occurrences across the globe, it is perhaps only natural that it’s the ones closest to our hearts that spur us into taking action. Keeping in mind that there is always someone somewhere rising up to help in each and every situation. And now it’s our turn. Let’s rise up against the floods and the droughts. Let’s rise up for humanity.
