RISE to ICCA Semifinals

RISE is the co-ed a cappella group at the University of Texas at Arlington. Having only been in existence for less than 2 years, RISE has ventured out to accomplish many things including establishing a huge presence within their community of Arlington, TX, filming for a national Cheerios commercial, recording for Patti LaBelle's Christmas album, recording and releasing their first studio EP, being nominated for a Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) for Best Original Song by a Scholastic Group, and now advancing to the 2018 ICCA Southwest Semifinals!
On Saturday, February 24th, RISE competed at the 2018 ICCA Southwest Quarterfinals in Fort Worth, TX. After weeks of hard work and preparation, we had the chance to show our set to our families, friends, and a cappella-lovers from around the great state of Texas! We left everything we had on that stage that evening and it paid off! We are THRILLED to announce a SECOND PLACE WIN at the ICCA Quarterfinal round and will be advancing to Semifinals in Phoenix, AZ on March 31st! We are beyond grateful and incredibly humbled to also have received an award for Outstanding Arrangement for our entire set arranged by our own Caleb Moore! We were blown away by the amount of talent represented there and thankful for the supportive and friendly atmosphere of the Collegiate A Cappella community. We are excited to be 1 of 2 groups that gets represent the wonderful state of Texas and our own university, UTA!
