RISE UP to beat Matt's cancer

Donation protected
As I watched my family go through the last few months, I prayed on how to help them.  After much thought and prayer, I am reaching out to all of you. My name is Jenny LaNeve, and the trials I'm speaking of concern a young man that entered our family in March of 2014. His name is Matthew Burdette, is now 35 and was suffering with digestive issues and pain. After much coercion, he finally went to see his family doctor, who in turn sent him for a CT scan. The scan showed that Matt was not suffering from digestion problems, but was in fact showing multiple soft tissue masses in his colon- which was creating a 95% blockage, his gallbladder, his liver and  lung. He was sent to see a renowned surgeon, who  preformed a colon resection surgery at Southwoods Hospital in Boardman. When the pathology was returned, the doctor gave us the news we had been so desperately praying not to hear. Matthew has stage 4 cancer. The pathology revealed a T4 tumor and the cancer is present in his lymph nodes and mesentary.                                                                                                          We don't know if the soft tissue mass in his gallbladder is cancer yet but the surgeon plans to remove it , nor do we know for certain if it has traveled to his liver and lung, as the masses are too small to biopsy. Thats the good news. More good news is that Matt is scheduled to get his port put in on December 27th so that he can begin his chemotherapy at the Hope Center. The tough news is, this will be a very long road. Matt's first round of chemotherapy is scheduled to last for 24 weeks, with possible additional therapy's thereafter. He is currently not able to work. He is a husband and a father to three children and the family is struggling.
Despite illnesses, life still continues. Bills continue to come in, car payments need made, meals need to be made, unexpected expenses keep coming and Christmas is days away; and this family has had NO income for almost a month already. It can take months to get financial help if its approved, and money is already getting tight. The stress of not being able to care for your family on top of fighting cancer is overwhelming and heartbreaking, and a burden no one fighting cancer should bare.
I am appealing to my Christian friends, classmates and family all over the US,and anyone else this may reach,  to please help me to help them. I never expected this to happen to my family, but we are all suceptible to this horrible disease. I've never requested assistance, from any forum, but this illness could devestate the entire family. Therefore I ask you, on behalf of my kids, my grandchildren, The Burdette's, to please help.  Your giving, no matter how great or small will be so much appreciated. If you too have fallen on tough times and can not help financially, I ask that you share this everywhere!
Thank you all so much and God bless you and yours.
