Last Sunday morning 3/26/17 around 7am our beloved friend and family member Riley Reynolds severely injured himself skateboarding home. Riley sustained major head trauma, which resulted in seizures that put him into a coma. After several surgeries, he is still at Harbor View ICU in a coma on life support. As of right now we do not know if he is going to pull through or not. But if anybody knows Riley, he’s a tough guy! What we do know is when Riley pulls through he’s going to need all of the physical, mental and monetary support he can get. Because of the severity of his injuries, we do not know what he will need in regards to rehabilitation, but what we do know is that he will not be able to work. Riley currently has barebones health insurance, which is better than nothing, but he still needs our help.

Riley has been nothing but a good friend and a genuine, generous human being to everybody he has ever affiliated himself with. Anything you can do to help would be much appreciated.

At this time Riley is still at Harbor View ICU stabilizing and fighting for his life. The doctors recommend that he should not have any visitors until his situation stabilizes.

Please send prayers and good energy.

Hey,
I wish I could personally thank everyone for all of the support and positivity shown in the last week since Riley’s accident, it’s been amazing and truly awe-inspiring to witness.
The outpour from Riley’s tribe has really touched his parents, relatives and closest friends, becoming a bright light in this dark situation.

Update:
Riley is currently still on life support, he is initiating all of his own breaths but needs help completing them due to his heavy sedation. Monday enough of his brain inflammation subsided in order for doctors to run an MRI. The MRI results showed that there was no significant damage to the Cerebral cortex, an integral part of human consciousness. This is great news and a signifier to when Riley gains consciousness, if he would be a vegetable or not. Currently he is still fighting an infection and pneumonia, pneumonia is common for patients who have breathing tubes in place. Because of this Riley is still not excepting many visitors besides select friends and family, in fear he may contract something worse.
Yesterday was the first time in a week or so that I paid Riley a visit. . We played music and talked to him, as soon as we started playing music he began responding with left hand movements along with incoherently opening and closing his eyes!! He is so heavily sedated that it’s hard to tell if he could come to or not. But all in all he looks allot better than a day after the incident, his swelling and bruising has seemed to subside dramatically. His nurse explained that it's still to soon to tell how extensive the damage is but within the next couple weeks or so, they will get a clearer picture once his brain inflammation has completely subsided.

Nikki and Jim have been overwhelmingly bombarded with concerned friends and family members in search of answers, updates and ways to help contribute. They cannot begin to put into words how much they appreciate the love, positivity, prayers and good vibes coming from everybody. But at this time they have set up a platform where people can go for consistent updates on Riley’s condition. This is in the hopes that it may alleviate the amount of text and calls they’ve been receiving since Riley’s accident.

Updates will posted through,

Thank you and keep up the positive vibes!!!!
